Nathan's parents came into town on Thursday night. They arrived in Louisville around 8:00 which is about the time Nathan was getting home from work. I had cooked dinner so when everyone got to the house dinner was ready. I made turkey burgers which is one of mine and Nathan's favorite meals. Since I don't eat red meat this is the closest thing to hamburgers that I cook. I know they don't sound very good but they are delicioius (if you know me and what a picky eater I am, you can trust me on this)! =)
1 lb. turkey meat (makes 4-5 burgers)
3/4 pkg. onion soup mix
1/3 cup water
Mix it all together and grill 'em...YUMMY!!! =)
Nathan and I had to work on Friday but that night Nathan's parents took us to Cheddars. If you have never been there you are missing out You can check out the menu and locations at www.cheddars.com.
After dinner we headed back to the apartment, watched a little TV and relaxed.
Nathan's parents went to Indianapolis today for motocross races. They have had tickets for a while and that is the reason they are up this way. Nathan was supposed to work but he found out yesterday that he was given the day off. We had several things we needed to get done around here so we stayed home. I got up and cooked breakfast and had a very relaxing day watching football (GO VOLS) and reading. Oh, and I had a great nap! =) Nathan got a lot of studying done and ran a few errands. It was a very relaxing day.
They got back from Indy around 7:30 and we took them out for dessert to the Homemade Pie Kitchen. www.piekitchen.com Nathan and I split a piece of chocolate chip pecan pie and his parents split a piece of dutch apple. We came home just in time for MORE FOOTBALL!! =)
It's been a fun weekend!
Meg
