NASHVILLE BOUND!
We will be serving as Resident Assitant Program Representatives to an apartment complex in Bellevue. As representatives of an affiliated church we will be responsible for providing activities for the residents of the apartment community. Activities may include programs for children and adults in health, education, recreation, service and social areas as well as welcome visits to new residents.
Our purpose is to build relationships with the people and hopefully have an opportunitiy to share the Gospel. Nathan and I are excited about our role in the apartment community but we are also looking forward to our involvement with the affiliated church.
The Lord orchestrates everything in HIS timing and it's been neat to watch all the details just fall into place. For example, the lease on our Louisville apartment ends at the end of October so I have to let them know if we are signing a new lease on October 1st. The opportunity with the apartment complex came about this past Saturday, September 25th! We drove to Nashville on Monday to check it out and we agreed to take the position on Tuesday. God knows my LACK OF PATIENCE so he waited until the last minute to provide us with this opportunity...I really don't think my lack of patience had anything to do with it but it definitely was a "trust lesson" for me.
Prayer request: The position is only part time so Nathan will need to find a full time job. We have several friends in Nashville so we sent emails asking them to let us know if they hear of anywhere that is hiring. We are confident that the Lord will work out this detail too, but we are asking that you join us in praying!
As excited as we are, this is a bittersweet time for us. We have lived in Louisville for five years and made some lifelong friends. It's going to be SO hard to leave these people that we have grown to love! We have been part of an amazing church and have nothing but gratitude for the opportunities that we have had to lead and serve.
I will keep the blog updated with pictures and info as we transition from Louisville to Nashville!!
I AM GOING BACK TO GOOD OL' ROCKY TOP!! **sorry, I couldn't resist**

Happy TWO MONTH birthday
Carson is two months old today!!! I took him to the doctor for this two month check-up and he is 11 lbs 15 oz (50th percentile) and 25 inches long (95-100th percentile). He is smiling all the time which is so precious!! He is sleeping GREAT and I am so thankful for that. For the past two weeks or so, he has only been waking up once in the middle of the night...usually around 4:00. He goes to bed around 9:30 which makes for a better night's sleep for Mama and Daddy!
Just as Brandon did, Carson is already in 6 month clothes. Neither one of them stayed in 0-3 or 3-6 month clothes very long. Brandon stayed in 6 month and 6-9 months for a while so hopefully Carson will do the same!
I LOVE MY BOYS...but their Daddy more! He is such a great husband and daddy! Brandon is a DADDY'S BOY which is so much fun to watch. I will admit that I get a LITTLE jealous when Brandon gives all his hugs to his Daddy when he gets home from work and then has very little for his Mama but that's ok! =) Carson is still very much a Mama's baby but his time will come and Nathan will love on him just as much.

We will Remember
Nathan and I sit in the same area every week so we are surrounded by familiar faces week to week. There is a deacon and his family that sit diagonal from us. I was sitting in the pew rocking Carson while everyone around me stood. I looked up during this song and saw the deacon's little girl (about seven years old) raising her hand in worship. It was such a blessing!! As I watched Carson fall asleep in my arms I thought about the opportunities that Nathan and I will have to lead him to Christ. I can't wait for the day (Lord willing) that I can watch my boys praise Jesus!!!
[inspired by Neh. 9:16], [Ps. 77:11, 12]
We will remember, we will remember
We will remember the works of Your hands
We will stop and give you praise
For great is Thy faithfulness
You’re our creator, our life sustainer
Deliverer, our comfort, our joy
Throughout the ages You’ve been our shelter
Our peace in the midst of the storm
With signs and wonders You’ve shown Your power
With precious blood You showed us Your grace
You’ve been our helper, our liberator
The giver of life with no end
When we walk through life’s darkest valleys
We will look back at all You have done
And we will shout, our God is good
And He is the faithful One
Hallelujah, hallelujah
To the one from whom all blessings flow
Hallelujah, hallelujah
To the one whose glory has been shown
I still remember the day You saved me
The day I heard You call out my name
You said You loved me and would never leave me
And I’ve never been the same

Jonah, Hats & Grins
This afternoon we went to a consignment sale where Brandon got his first hat! He likes to wear his daddy's hat around the house which, of course, is way too big. So, I got him his own and he was SO PROUD! He usually takes hats on and off. He wore it the entire way home!! =)
Carson turned eight weeks old today. He is becoming more and more alert and aware of what's going on around him. He loves to watch Brandon. I will prop Carson up on the couch so he can see what's going on around him. Once he sees Brandon he starts smiling. It is so sweet...especially since Brandon likes to hit and kick him. I am surprised Carson doesn't cry every time he sees Brandon! =) Anyway, it's fun to watch!

My Little Bookworm
Anyway, my friend, Kim, told me about TODDLER STORYTIME at the neighborhood library. It's every Wednesday morning which works great for us! Today was our first time to go and Brandon loved it, of course. He was a little intimidated when we first got there but once he saw his friends, Braden and Trevor, he was ok!

It's Been a While...
It would take DAYS for me to recap the last few months in detail so I will post highlights to catch you up on what has been happening with us.
The last time I blogged Brandon was ten months old. Ok, well, he is fifteen months old now. Here are a few pictures from the past few months.
ELEVEN MONTHS
We took Brandon to Huber Farm's on his birthday...he loves playing ball with Daddy
Since then...
Carson Walter Moore was born on July 29, 2010. He weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz and was 22 inches long. I went to the doctor on July 28th for my routine weekly check-up and my blood pressure was high. Up to that point the pregnancy had been perfect - no gestational diabetes, no high blood pressure...nothing. My doctor scheduled a c-section for the NEXT MORNING. I am sure that made my bp go up even more! =)
Carson is 7 1/2 weeks old and SO precious! He is eating and sleeping great which is a HUGE blessing. Brandon thinks it's his job as the big brother to poke and prod, hit and kick, hug and kiss his little brother as much as possible.
Brandon is definitely a daddy's boy and I am CONVINCED that Carson will be all mine! =) ...but I am beginning to wonder if I have another Daddy's boy on my hands...and that's ok, too!
I LOVE MY BOYS!!!!
